What Dubai creators charge
Agency rate cards and signed contracts tell two different stories. Use both as a sanity check, then go by the creator's own rate card: it always overrides these ranges.

Before you pay
How to check a creator before you pay
Since 1 February 2026, anyone creating advertising content from inside the UAE needs a UAE Advertiser Permit from the National Media Authority (NMA), paid or unpaid. Five checks before any money or product changes hands.
General information, not legal advice. Confirm on nma.gov.ae (opens in a new tab).
Read the permit guideAsk for their permit number
Ask the creator for their UAE Advertiser Permit number before you agree a fee. The regulator has called on companies to work only with licensed creators, and lawyers advise brands to ask for the number before paying.

Check it is shown on their profiles
Holders must display their permit number on their social media accounts. We found no public NMA permit lookup; the NMA offers a general inquiry service. On creator pages here the number is self-declared.

Put it in the contract
Write the permit number and the posting dates into the agreement. A permit is valid for 1 year and is cancelled if it is not renewed within 30 days of expiry, so check it covers your dates.

Agree how the post is disclosed
Any payment or commercial relationship must be clearly disclosed (Executive Regulations, Art. 33(7)), and gifted products, services and stays count as payment. The rules name no hashtag: clearly disclose, for example with “Ad” or “إعلان” plus the platform’s paid-partnership label.

How much do influencers charge in Dubai?
Published 2026 agency rate cards for one Instagram post or Reel overlap at about AED 500–1,500 for nano creators (1K–10K followers), AED 2,000–5,000 for micro (10K–100K) and AED 7,000–15,000 for mid-tier (100K–500K). Signed contracts come in lower: medians of AED 500, AED 1,000 and AED 2,000 in one agency's report of 350 contracts, which uses its own tier boundaries (Yamammi contract report (opens in a new tab)). Indicative, Oct 2026, organic only, excluding paid-usage rights, exclusivity and VAT. Each creator here lists their own rate, and that is the one that counts.
How much does a UGC video cost in the UAE?
About AED 700–1,500 for a simple video the creator does not post on their own account, and AED 1,500–3,500 for an ad-ready video. Paid-ad usage rights usually add 30–50% (Yamammi UGC (opens in a new tab)). In one agency's contract report the UGC rate was a flat AED 800 across 79 contracts (Yamammi contract report (opens in a new tab)).
Where do the numbers on a creator page come from?
Each number says where it came from and when. “Self-reported · as of [date]” means the creator typed it in. “Connected account · checked [date]” means it was read from their connected Instagram or TikTok account. For self-reported numbers, ask for a recent screenshot of their insights before you pay, and compare average views and engagement with the follower count.
Do creators in the UAE need a licence to advertise?
Yes. Since 1 February 2026, anyone creating advertising content from inside the UAE needs a UAE Advertiser Permit, whether the deal is paid or unpaid (Gulf News, Feb 2026 (opens in a new tab)). The permit is issued by the National Media Authority (NMA) (NMA permit card (opens in a new tab)). Exemptions are narrow: promoting your own product or a company you own on your personal account, and under-18s making educational, sports, cultural or awareness content (The National (opens in a new tab)).
How do I check a creator's permit?
Ask the creator for the number, check it is shown on their social media profiles, and put it in the contract (Pinsent Masons (opens in a new tab)). Permit numbers on creator pages here are self-declared.
Does a gifted or barter collaboration count?
Yes. Gifted products, services and other non-cash benefits count as payment (NMA permit card (opens in a new tab)). A free meal, stay or product in exchange for a post needs the same permit and the same clear disclosure as a paid post (Gulf News, Jul 2026 (opens in a new tab)).
Can I hire a creator who is visiting the UAE?
Yes, through a licensed UAE advertising agency that applies for a visitor permit. The NMA lists it at AED 500, valid for 3 months and extendable to 6 months in total, with 3 working days to process (NMA visitor permit (opens in a new tab)). Press reports also mention accredited talent agencies (Gulf News, Jul 2026 (opens in a new tab)).
What must the post disclose?
Any payment or commercial relationship, clearly (Executive Regulations, Art. 33(7)) (NMA legislation (opens in a new tab)). The rules do not name a hashtag. Clearly disclose, for example with “Ad” or “إعلان” plus the platform's paid-partnership label. Gifted posts need it too.
Is my sector restricted?
Ads for real estate, medical and health, financial services, education and food need prior approval from the relevant authority. Promoting alcohol, tobacco or narcotics is banned (Art. 33(9) and (10)) (NMA legislation (opens in a new tab)).
What are the fines for advertising without a permit?

Breaking the advertising rules, including disclosure, is AED 20,000, then AED 50,000, and advertising on an expired permit is AED 10,000, then AED 20,000. Repeats within a year are doubled (NMA legislation (opens in a new tab)).
Is it free to browse creators here?
