What to look for

For hotels and tour operators the first question is who watches: UAE residents planning a staycation, or people abroad planning a trip to Dubai. Both are valuable, but they need different creators. Look at the audience split by country and at how the creator shows the room, the food and the price.

Typical formats

Typical formats are hosted staycations with one Reel, stories and an edited photo set, desert and Hatta day trips, and YouTube integrations for longer guides. Agree photo usage rights so you can reuse the images on your own channels, and agree which dates are blocked for the stay.

Check the UAE Advertiser Permit

  1. Since 1 February 2026, anyone creating advertising content from inside the UAE needs a UAE Advertiser Permit from the National Media Authority (NMA), paid or unpaid. (Gulf News, 1 Feb 2026)
  2. Gifted products, services and other non-cash benefits count as payment, so barter deals and hosted visits count too. (NMA service card)
  3. Holders must show their permit number on their accounts, and lawyers advise brands to ask for it before paying. (The National, 30 Jul 2025, Pinsent Masons)
  4. Any payment or commercial relationship must be clearly disclosed (Executive Regulations, Art. 33(7)). No hashtag is named: clearly disclose, for example "Ad" or "إعلان" plus the platform's paid-partnership label. (NMA legislation)
  5. Advertising without a permit: a written warning, then AED 20,000, then AED 50,000 (Cabinet Resolution 42/2025, which applies in free zones too). (NMA legislation)

  7. Visiting creators need a visitor permit, applied for through a licensed UAE advertising agency: AED 500, valid 3 months, extendable to 6 months in total. (NMA visitor permit card)

How do Dubai hotels work with travel creators?

Usually as a hosted stay plus a fee, in return for a Reel, stories and a set of edited photos. The stay counts as payment under the UAE Advertiser Permit rules, so the post must be clearly disclosed. Agree in writing what is posted, when, and how long you can reuse the photos.

Should I pick a creator with a UAE audience or an international one?

For staycations and weekday offers, pick a creator whose audience lives in the UAE. For tourism campaigns, a creator with an audience in your target market, such as the UK, India or Saudi Arabia, is the better fit. A creator visiting from abroad needs a visitor permit through a licensed UAE advertising agency.

What does a staycation collaboration cost in Dubai?

In one agency's report on signed Dubai contracts, hospitality deals ran AED 700-800 plus the package at standard venues and AED 1,700-2,600 plus the package at luxury venues (39 contracts, Yamammi). These are indicative ranges, not quotes. Every creator here lists their own rates.
