Hiring tech creators in Dubai

What to look for

Tech audiences trust creators who show the product working and say what is wrong with it. Check whether the creator explains things clearly, whether the comments ask real questions, and whether the audience matches your buyer: gamers, phone upgraders, founders and fintech users are different groups.

Typical formats

Common formats are YouTube integrations of 60 to 90 seconds inside a longer video, dedicated reviews, unboxings, app walkthroughs and UGC demos for ads. Agree facts and claims up front, not opinions: the audience expects the creator to mention downsides.

Check the UAE Advertiser Permit

  1. Since 1 February 2026, anyone creating advertising content from inside the UAE needs a UAE Advertiser Permit from the National Media Authority (NMA), paid or unpaid. (Gulf News, 1 Feb 2026)
  2. Gifted products, services and other non-cash benefits count as payment, so barter deals and hosted visits count too. (NMA service card)
  3. Holders must show their permit number on their accounts, and lawyers advise brands to ask for it before paying. (The National, 30 Jul 2025, Pinsent Masons)
  4. Any payment or commercial relationship must be clearly disclosed (Executive Regulations, Art. 33(7)). No hashtag is named: clearly disclose, for example "Ad" or "إعلان" plus the platform's paid-partnership label. (NMA legislation)
  5. Advertising without a permit: a written warning, then AED 20,000, then AED 50,000 (Cabinet Resolution 42/2025, which applies in free zones too). (NMA legislation)
  6. Permit numbers on pages here are self-declared by the creator. We found no public NMA lookup, so ask for the number and write it into your contract. (NMA services, Pinsent Masons)

FAQ

Tech creators in Dubai:questions businesses ask

How much do tech influencers in Dubai charge?

Published 2026 agency rate cards for one Instagram post or Reel overlap at about AED 500-1,500 for nano creators (1K-10K followers), AED 2,000-5,000 for micro (10K-100K) and AED 7,000-15,000 for mid-tier (100K-500K). Signed contracts are lower: medians of AED 500, 1,000 and 2,000 in one agency's report on 350 Dubai contracts (Yamammi). YouTube integrations and dedicated reviews are usually quoted per project, so ask each creator. These are indicative ranges, not quotes. Every creator here lists their own rates on their page.

Can tech creators make app demo videos for our ads?

Yes. Many offer UGC walkthroughs that are not posted on their account and are delivered as files for your own ads, at about AED 700-1,500 simple or AED 1,500-3,500 ad-ready (Yamammi). Agree how long you can use them before you agree the price.

Will a tech creator say negative things about our product?

They may mention downsides, and that is part of why their audience trusts them. Agree the facts, specs and claims in the brief, and leave the opinion to the creator.
