How to Pitch Dubai Restaurants as a Creator (2026)
A step-by-step way to pitch Dubai restaurants and cafés: what venues pay, choosing venues, email and DM templates, the food-ad rules and a results report.

The short version
- 74% of UAE diners find new restaurants on social media, and 1 in 4 discover them through influencers (SevenRooms). Restaurants know creators matter.
- Pitch fewer venues, better: the right area, the right audience and one specific idea for each. Keep the first message short and follow up twice at most.
- Food ads need prior approval from the relevant authority, and gifted meals count as payment. Disclose every collaboration clearly.

What restaurants pay
Food deals in Dubai usually mix cash with the meal. Yamammi's report on signed contracts shows F&B deals at AED 100-800 plus the package (26 contracts), and hospitality at AED 700-800 plus the package at standard venues and AED 1,700-2,600 at luxury venues (Yamammi).
Those are contract figures, lower than published rate cards. Our rates guide shows both side by side, so you can quote with your eyes open.
Pick restaurants that fit your audience
Popular venues hear from many creators. The quickest way to stand out is to pitch places that clearly fit your audience. If your followers are young professionals in JLT and Dubai Marina, a new specialty coffee bar in JLT is a better target than a fine-dining room in DIFC.
Look for signs a venue needs content: a recent opening or a new menu, a quiet Instagram account, or a location people struggle to find. Make a list of 10 to 15 places for the week, with one line each on why your audience would care. If you cannot write that line, drop the venue.
Find the person who decides
A DM to the main account often lands with a busy community manager. Where you can, find the person who owns the budget: the marketing manager, the owner or the PR agency. Many venues belong to restaurant groups with a central marketing team, often listed on the group's website or on LinkedIn. If you can only reach the general account, ask who handles creator collaborations, then send the full pitch to that person.
Prepare before you pitch
Have these ready, so you can reply quickly when someone answers:
- Your page link, for example socialmediamarketing.ae/yourname, with your stats, rates and contact in one place.
- Two or three examples of food content you made, ideally in the same area or cuisine.
- Your numbers: average views per Reel, engagement rate and the share of your audience in Dubai.
- Your UAE Advertiser Permit number. Brands are advised to ask for it before paying (permit guide).
- One idea for that venue: the dish, the angle, the format.
The first email
Keep it under 150 words: one idea, one offer, one link. Restaurant teams read on their phones between services.
Subject: Reel idea for [Restaurant] in [Area]
Hi [Name],
I'm [Your name], a food creator in [Area]. About [X]% of my audience lives in Dubai, and my Reels average [X] views.
I'd love to film [your new breakfast menu / the terrace at sunset / the chef making the signature dish].
My suggestion: 1 Reel + 3 Stories, filmed on a weekday, posted within 5 days, from AED [price]. A week after posting I send a short results report.

Would a visit next week work?
Thanks, [Name] · WhatsApp [number]
The short DM version
On Instagram, the goal of the DM is a reply and the right contact, not a booking.
Hi! I'm [Name], I make food Reels around [Area] ([X] average views, mostly Dubai audience).
I'd love to film your [dish / new menu]. Who is the best person to send a short proposal to?

What to offer
Restaurants buy outcomes: people through the door, bookings and content they can reuse. If a venue has no budget, you can offer a gifted test visit with a clear limit, such as Stories only. Remember that a gifted meal counts as payment, so the same permit and disclosure rules apply (gifted collaborations). Packages that work well:
- Visit package: 1 Reel + 3 Stories on the day, with location tag, booking link and opening hours.
- Launch package: a pre-opening teaser, the opening-week Reel and a follow-up Story a week later.
- UGC pack: three short videos for the venue's own account and ads, not posted by you (UGC prices).
- Arabic version: the same Reel with Arabic captions or voice-over.
- A trackable offer: a code or booking link only your audience gets, so the venue can count results.
Follow up without being annoying
- Day 0: first email or DM.
- Day 3 or 4: one short follow-up with something new, such as a recent Reel that did well.
- Day 10: a last note saying you will leave it there, with your page link.
- After that: stop. Try again in two or three months with a new idea, such as a seasonal menu.
Food-ad rules to check before you film
Ads for food, real estate, medical and health, financial services and education need prior approval from the relevant authority, and promoting alcohol is banned (Art. 33(9) and (10), NMA legislation). Ask the venue which approvals it holds, and keep alcohol out of your content.
Disclosure: any material return or commercial relationship must be clearly disclosed (Art. 33(7)). No hashtag is named; we suggest “Ad” or “إعلان” plus the platform's paid-partnership label, on paid and gifted posts alike.
Deliver, then show results
Confirm the brief in writing: date and time, what you will film, what the venue provides, the posting date, the label and whether they approve the post first. Seven days after posting, send a one-page report with screenshots from your insights. Then add the result to your page as a short case note, such as “Reel for a JLT café opening: 48K views, 62% from Dubai”.
Views and reach: [X] views, [X] accounts reached ([X]% above my average).
Engagement: [X] saves, [X] shares, [X] comments. Two real comments: “[...]”, “[...]”.
Traffic: [X] profile visits to @[venue], [X] link clicks to the booking page.
Bookings: [X] code redemptions or bookings, if tracking was set up.
Next idea: [one idea for next month].

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much do Dubai restaurants pay creators?
In Yamammi's report on signed contracts, F&B deals were AED 100-800 plus the package (26 contracts). Published rate cards are higher. Each creator sets their own price.
Should I accept free meals instead of payment?
Sometimes, for places you would visit anyway or while you build a portfolio. A gifted meal counts as payment in the UAE, so you need a permit and must disclose the post clearly. Set a monthly limit, then move venues to paid packages.
How many restaurants should I pitch each week?
Quality beats volume. Ten to fifteen well-researched pitches a week is workable for most part-time creators. Reuse your templates, but make the idea for each venue specific.
Do I need a permit for restaurant collaborations?
Yes. Since 1 February 2026, anyone creating advertising content from inside the UAE needs a UAE Advertiser Permit from the National Media Authority, paid or unpaid, and gifted meals count as payment.
